Is Islam the religion to practice terrorism?

Since 9/11, the word “terrorism” has been widely used in the world. 9/11 was a big event which provoked the hatred of terrorism in the hearts of many people in the world. On 9/11 many people felt how hateful terrorism is and how loathsome it can be when innocent people become victims of decisions and actions of expansionists. Since then, Islamic extremists known as Alqaedda  where introduced as the criminals who caused 9/11 events to happen in the name of Islamic Jihad. So United States and his allies invaded Afghanistan and Iraq to start their battle against terrorism.

What is Islamic Jihad and who are Alqaedda?
Jihad in Islam is a holy war against oppressors and invaders to Islamic  regions. In Islam, Jihad a holy act to protect Islamic societies from oppressive rulers and also from invasions by the enemies of Muslims. It is no how an act of invading other nations and killing innocent people as Alqaedda do. A manifest paradigm of Jihad in Islam was Ashura event in which Imam Hussein, the grandson of prophet Mohammad, refused to accept the rule of Yazid over Islamic regions. Yazid was a corrupt and unjust ruler who paid no attention to the values of Islam such as justice and truthfulness. So Imam Hussein and his 72 followers fought the 50,000 troops of Yazid and died but due to their bravery in fighting against a corrupt government, Muslims got aware of the reality behind the rule of Yazid and his rule was ended by subsequent Jihadi movements. Since Ashura, every real Jihad in Islam has used Imam Hussein`s act as a model of bravery for not tolerating oppression and injustice. Up to 17.000.000 people gather in Karbala(Iraq) on Ashura day each year.
In 1979, Iranians no longer tolerated oppressive acts of Pahlavi kingdom (the agent of the United States in the middle east) and being pioneers of standing against dictators in the region, gave an end to 2500 years of the rule of kingdoms on Iran and established Islamic Republic. Only a year after the victory of the Islamic revolution and when the country was still in the process of transform, Saddam Hussein, the new agent of the United States in the middle east, attacked Iran with full support of US, some European and some Arab nations and started the 8 year imposed war on Iran. Ayatollah Khomeini, the late leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued the order of Jihad to Iranians against aggressors. More than 300.000 Iranians died in this militarily unequal battle to stop Saddam from his dreams to conquer Tehran in 3 days. This war and the 1979 Islamic revolution are clear paradigms of Jihad done by Iranians in the recent decades.
But as Jihad, this glorious order of Islam is very costly for Imperialist governments (as we saw the heavy costs for them in their being fired from Iran in 1979 and also heavy costs of financial and military support of Saddam which finally did not have any results for them because the war couldn’t subvert the Islamic Republic) and endangers their profits in Islamic countries, they concluded that this act of Jihad which was once a medallion of bravery for Muslims in the minds of the people of the world should be displayed as an aggressive act by Muslims and Islam should be demonstrated as a religion that teaches terrorism and killing of non-Muslims to its followers. Media wars and heavy propaganda started against Islam but this could not be sufficient. Alqaedda was introduced as the sample of Jihadi Muslims who wish to kill every non-Muslim and who considered every aggressive act against non-Muslim nations as Jihad. This terrorist group was established to divert the minds of the people form real Jihad which is only to create justice and faithfulness in the world. In Quran, the holy book of Muslims, it is mentioned that anyone who kills an innocent person has killed all the people and anybody who saves a life has saved all people. How can these instructions by Islam lead to a terrorism of this kind? Alqaedda absorb their members by concealing the truth about Islam and by brainwashing simple people to display Islam as a harsh and terrorist religion but despite all these efforts, the truth about Islam will remain the religion for spreading peace and justice and the religion that truly fights Imperialism and Capitalism in the world.
